What is a junk food vegetarian? In my case it’s a vegetarian who eats little veggies and a lot of bad things. I have always been as picky eater so when I made the transition to vegetarianism it was rough. I have never been a big fan of vegetables. I foolishly thought when I became a vegetarian I would instantly begin to enjoy them. That didn’t happen obviously. So I began to eat a bunch of junk and carb loaded foods like pasta. I know many people lose weight when they become a vegetarian, but I probably gained 10 pounds. I had surgery a month ago and I haven’t been able to go to the gym. So I gained another 10 pounds all in one month. I had previously lost 30 pounds the year before by working out and counting calories. So I have decided that one way or another I will start eating healthy food, aka vegetables, and lose the extra weight I’ve gained. The main motivation for this is the fact that school is starting up again. Also many people think of vegetarians as thinner people. So when I tell them that I am a vegetarian, sometimes I get weird looks. Or people think that I’m secretly eating meat. So becoming a healthy vegetarian, that actually enjoys vegetables, is important to me. It’s going to be tough but it’s a lifestyle change I have to make. Wish me luck!
